This class provides lecture and labs to allow those responsible for the Application Storage Manager (ASM) Medical solution to perform "care and feeding" tasks, as well as a basic system level understanding of why these tasks are performed. This class provides the foundation for customers to be able to work with StorageTek support in troubleshooting environments.

UNIX fundamentals a plus

Skills Gained
Upon successful completion of this training the student should be able to:

• Describe the relationship that exists between a customer and a PACS vendor
• Identify the components and flow of data of a PACS solution
• Identify and perform the daily monitoring tasks required by the PACS solution
• Identify and perform the weekly daily monitoring tasks required by the PACS solution
• Identify and perform the monthly monitoring tasks required by the PACS solution
• Identify monitoring tasks which may be required by support
• Demonstrate a high level status check of the hardware
• Demonstrate basic administrator tasks using SANtricity management software
• Demonstrate basic monitoring tasks with the disk array
• Perform cyclical tasks with the disk array
• Describe ASM functional components and processes
• Describe the essential ASM documents and where to locate them
• Describe and perform ASM Administration
• Perform the basic system tasks and run basic reports
• Use proven back-up processes
